Pet Arrival Coordinator

Enjoy being outdoors, meeting new people, and running things smoothly?
Come be the first friendly face our clients see when they arrive at PRCKC! As the Pet Arrival Coordinator, you'll help guide cars into the check-in line, welcome pet parents, answer basic questions, and work closely with our Pet Check-In Captain to ensure our parking lot stays organized and flowing well.

This is a pretty active, outdoor role that's perfect for social, energetic volunteers who like helping people (and pets :)) and keeping things flowing. This is also a great opportunity to volunteer alongside a friend or partner—one in the booth and one in the lot, making the perfect team!

Ideal Volunteer Traits:

• Prompt and dependable.

• Friendly, outgoing, and welcoming.

• Great communicator—clear, calm, and helpful under pressure.

• Enjoys being on their feet and moving around outdoors.

• Comfortable giving directions and guiding others.

• Team player who's flexible and quick to problem-solve.

• Bilingual (Spanish & English) volunteers are a huge plus (but not required!).

Volunteer Responsibilities Include:

• Greeting clients as they arrive in the parking lot.

• Directing clients into the check-in line.

• Communicating with the Pet Check-In Captain to maintain parking lot flow.

• Helping prevent traffic jams and ensuring safety at the gate entrance.

• Answering basic questions and providing a calm, welcoming presence to our clients and their pets.

• Assisting with overflow traffic guidance. 

• Supporting our awesome check-in team with keeping the parking lot organized and efficient.

If you have someone who'd like to join you, they can fill the Pet Check-In Captain position and together you'll run the whole parking lot operation like pros! Just let us know ahead of time so we can ensure no one is scheduled for that role, and we'll get your guest signed up.

Weekday shifts are available Tuesday - Friday from 7 am - 10 am, 10 am - 1 pm, or 1 pm - 4 pm.
