Join PRCKC for one of our most exciting fundraising events of the year! Mutts & Movies is a fun-filled evening at the Boulevard Drive-In featuring games, raffles, community partners, local vendors, and an outdoor movie—all while raising funds to support affordable veterinary care and pet resources for pets and families throughout our community.
Whether you're helping prepare the event before guests arrive or assisting throughout the evening, you'll play an important role in creating a welcoming, memorable experience for everyone who attends.
Interested in helping even more? You're welcome to sign up for both volunteer shifts if you'd like to be part of the event from start to finish! Prefer a shorter commitment? That's great too—you can sign up for either shift based on what works best for your schedule.
Volunteer Responsibilities
Volunteers will serve as part of our Event Support Team and may assist with a variety of tasks throughout the evening, including:
- Event setup and preparation
- Front gate check-in and in-person ticket sales
- Directing vehicle and pedestrian traffic
- Refilling dog water stations
- Selling raffle tickets and assisting with raffle tables
- Hosting carnival games and activities
- Assisting staff wherever additional help is needed
Rather than assigning volunteers to one specific role, our team will work together throughout the event and help wherever support is needed most.
What to Expect
- A fun, fast-paced outdoor event
- Frequent interaction with community members and their dogs
- Standing and walking for much of your shift
- Working as part of a collaborative, supportive volunteer team
- August weather—please dress comfortably, stay hydrated, and be prepared for the heat
Volunteer Requirements
- Friendly, outgoing, and comfortable interacting with the public
- Willing to jump in and help wherever needed
- Able to stand and walk for extended periods
- Represent PRCKC with professionalism, compassion, and enthusiasm

Volunteers are welcome to stay after their shift and enjoy the movie with their friends, family, and pups!
