Work directly with our puppy training instructor, Ben Olson, to help puppies and their owners form stronger bonds! Ben teaches basic socialization and listening skills, beginner leash skills, and crate training basics. Supervisor volunteers assist the instructor by greeting participants, prepping and handing out materials, monitoring puppies and owners during class, and assisting with training exercises as needed. Animal handling and dog training experience is highly preferred, but is not required. The instructor is willing to train the right person.
Class is from 3:45-4:45 pm. Volunteers must arrive 10 minutes early and stay after to help clean up. When you arrive please do not disrupt the early class which may still be in session.
There are 5 classes per session. Please sign up to help with all/as many dates in a session as possible.
Volunteers in this role must:
- be on time
- be able to take direction from the instructor
- have good people skills
- have the ability/comfort level to potentially lead exercises/give instructions when asked
