Over the last month or so, we've recognized a huge and almost disaster level need in the NE area of KCMO for both people and pets. We would like to spend a couple Saturdays saturating these areas with door to door support for pet resources and even better, vaccinations and vet care! Our vision is to park our mobile vaccination unit at a centrally located spot (likely a park) where we'll meet and keep our supplies and then deploy in teams throughout the neighborhoods to offer our support to these people and pets in need. Some people are evicted and living on the front porch, lots of outdoor dogs where we can make an impact with education and resources, lots of pets that need to be altered to prevent litters. We've got our work cut out for us but with your help I truly think we can make a difference in this area. Our services on this day will be at no cost or "free-will donation" so that we can make sure those in need get served.
