Get some fresh air and exercise when you join our neighborhood canvassing team! We'll split into teams, led by PRCKC staff, to post flyers door-to-door in a chosen neighborhood, in order to promote our upcoming event in the area. This is a great way to directly inform local pet owners of our services, as well as getting us into neighborhoods to see firsthand where the biggest needs are. Canvassing teams can take notes on situations needing follow-up, and distribute resources if we happen to meet someone with a need.
This is not "knock-and-talk" canvassing, we're just posting flyers and keeping an eye out for pet needs. It's easy and fun - this is a great opportunity to invite a friend or family member to volunteer with you!
Volunteers in this role must:
- Be able to meet the PRCKC staff at the determined location
- Be able to walk for 2-3 hours
- Be comfortable potentially talking with members of the public
- Follow PRCKC'S Core Values: Be Helpful, Build Trust, Be Compassionate
