Description

The Nelson-Atkins Museum Of Art is hosting this dog and family friendly event on Saturday, September 17 from 1-4pm! We're looking for volunteers to represent PRCKC by promoting our services and our volunteer program at an info table during the event. Rain date is Sunday, October 16th.

Volunteers will need to pick up table supplies, a pop-up tent, and dog enrichment supplies including a plastic wading pool at PRCKC prior to the event. Volunteers should plan to arrive at the event by 12:15 pm in order to find parking and get set up.

The general event takes place in the Donald J. Hall Sculpture Park, on the grounds of the Nelson-Atkins. This is an outdoor party with a DJ, samples from Tito’s, City Barrel, and Vine Street Brewing, dog biscuits from Shake Shack, yard games, adoptable puppies from KCPP, and more! They are also encouraging dogs and their owners to visit different sculptures in our sculpture garden and are thinking of encouraging them to do so by providing “dog enrichment” activities and/or swag from Tito’s or elsewhere. Sounds like fun!
