Some of you may already know, that for the past month, we've had a shortage of dog food -- But we are excited to announce that we've received a couple of large donations of pet food and other supplies! This is great news for our pantry and outreach clients. It also means we need help storing all of this food properly!
We would like to invite 10 folks out to be a part of Cave Crew this Tuesday, October 10th, from 6-9 p.m. This would be a 2-3 hour weeknight opportunity.
Tasks would include:
- Sorting, taping damaged bags,
- Checking expiration dates and stacking in chronological order for easiest access.
- Separating food into categories: cat, adult dog, senior dog, special diet, treats, canned.
- Organize pallets neatly and with the most efficient use of the space.
- Moving those items outside of the storage space *into* the space.
This is somewhat time-sensitive, as there are currently pallets sitting on the outside of our storage space that need to be moved in (but can't be moved until the space inside has been reorganized). So if you're up for it, we'd love to have you!
