Come help people and their pets get connected with our services at the 2025 Community Fair at the West Wyandotte Library on Saturday, September 27th, in Kansas City, Kansas!
We ask that 2 volunteers represent PRCKC by working a booth at this event by handing out information to answer any questions about our services, pantry applications, and more.
The event is from 11:00 am - 3:00 pm, with check-in being between 9:00 am -10:30 am. Volunteers will be asked to arrive for set up no later than 10-10:30 am, and remain at the event for its duration. We will provide a table, 2 chairs, Wi-Fi, and access to an electrical outlet if needed; all we ask is for 2 volunteers' time to share resources and connect with patrons of the fair. Note: Volunteers will need to stop by PRCKC on a weekday prior to the event to pick up items for the table.
Ideal Volunteer Traits:
- Has own, usable vehicle, or the ability to drive our PRCKC van.
- Has great communication and people skills.
- Must be able to lift and set up table and chairs.
- Able to clearly communicate PRCKC's mission, services, and more, all while maintaining a nonjudgmental and compassionate tone.
- Works well on a small team.
- Has fun talking to people about PRCKC and what we do to keep pets and people together!
