The Spay & Neuter Collaborative of KC (SNCKC) is a partnership of local animal welfare organizations working together to combat pet overpopulation and support pets and people across the Kansas City community.
As part of this collaborative effort, PRCKC will host a special FREE spay/neuter surgery event at our clinic on Saturday, June 13th, helping provide life-changing care to pets who may not otherwise have access to these services.
This event functions similarly to one of our regular surgery days, but with a larger volunteer team and totally free of cost to participating clients through the SNCKC program. Volunteers will play a HUGE role in helping the day run smoothly and ensuring pets receive safe, compassionate care from start to finish.
Volunteer Roles May Include:
- Client Check-In & Check-Out (Booth)
- Pet Running / Pet Guide Support
- Surgical Laundry & Instrument Cleaning
- Surgical Pack & Drape Preparation
- Medication & Supply Prep Assistance
- Recovery Support (select experienced/trained volunteers only)
- General Clinic & Event Support
You're welcome to email volunteer@prckc.org your preferred role/area of interest, though flexibility is always appreciated as needs may shift throughout the day.
Volunteers for This Event Should:
- Work well in a fast-paced team environment
- Be adaptable and willing to jump in where needed
- Have strong communication skills
- Be comfortable taking direction and learning
- Help create a calm, compassionate environment for pets and people
Whether you're helping comfort pets, supporting surgery flow behind the scenes, assisting clients, or keeping supplies moving, your support truly makes this event possible!
All Volunteers MUST Embody PRCKC's Core Values: Be Helpful. Build Trust. Be Compassionate.
