Each organization participating in Relay For Rescue must have a volunteer referee. You will be assigned to be a referee for one of the other teams (another animal welfare organization) during the event.
As a referee, you will accompany the team along the entire route of the relay. You are responsible for carrying the color-coordinating "Team Bone" -- teams can only earn points when their referee and Team Bone are present.
You will meet at Char Bar at 11:00 for a rundown of duties. You will stay with your designated team and make sure they "play by the rules" until they return to Char Bar at 5:00. You may also assist with the scavenger hunt and different relay tasks along the route.
